Ricordate il film di Jim Jarmusch Daunbailò, del 1986? Un film delizioso, con un Roberto Benigni che parlava un inglese improbabile: Daunbailò corrisponde infatti all'inglese Down by law.
Per chiarire le cose, ecco come Benigni racconta ai suoi compagni di cella Zack (Tom Waits) e Jack (John Lurie) il motivo del suo arresto:

(traduzione: Giocavamo a carte e non avevo soldi. Però sono un baro. Non so come, mi hanno scoperto subito, io sono scappato e mi sono corsi dietro. Arriviamo in un'altra stanza, e per fermarmi mi tirano le palle del biliardo. Tu tiri le palle a me ? Io tiro le palle a te. E così ho preso la palla numero 8 e ho centrato in pieno un omone grosso grosso. Steso, al primo colpo. Morto. Ma io non sono un assassino, sono un bonaccione).
